Editorial Objectives
The aim of the technical bulletin is to provide a vehicle for the dissemination of applied socio-economic research in the areas of social sciences covering agricultural, resource and environmental economics, agribusiness and marketing, business management, technology management and policy studies.

Editorial scope

  1. Work on socio-economic research in agricultural economics, agriculture marketing, technology management, information science, innovation, technology transfer and business  will be considered for publication.
  2. Authors should consider the international readership of the bulletin when drafting papers.
  3. The aim of the bulletin is to articles on research done and makes it accessible to academicians and research scientists, policy makers and administrators as well as those involved in social and economic development.

Reviewing process
Each article will be reviewed by an Editorial Committee for its relevance in publishing and later, sent to peer review. The editorial committee would decide on its publication based on the Editorial Committee evaluation and recommendation.

Copyright
Articles submitted to the bulletin must not be previously published in other publication.

Permissions
A written permission is required for authors who wish to use any part of the published articles content. Permission required is for:

  1. Non-exclusive rights to reproduce the material in the article
  2. Print and electronic rights

Authors guide

  • Article should be between 3000 and 5000 words length
  • A title of not more than ten words should be provided
  • A brief autobiographical note should be supplied including:
    • Full name
    • Affiliation
    • E-mail address
    • Full international contact details
    • Brief professional biography
    • Structured abstract that contain
      • Purpose (Mandatory)
      • Design/methodology/approach (Mandatory)
      • Findings (Mandatory)
      • Research limitation/implication
  • A minimum of three keywords which encapsulate the principal topic of the article should be provided.
  • The article should be categorised under one of the following classifications:
    • Research paper
    • Viewpoint
    • Case study
  • Heading must be short, with a clear indication of the distinction between the hierarchy of headings. It must be in bold format.
  • All figures (Chart, diagrams,  and web pages) should be submitted in electronic form. All figures should be of high quality, legible and numbered. Graphics may be supplied in colour to facilitate their appearance on the online database.
    • Figure created in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, illustrator should be supplied in their native formats.
    • Photographic images should be submitted electronically and of high quality. They should be saved as tiff or jpeg format at a resolution of at least 330 dpi and at least 10 cm wide. Digital camera should be set at the highest resolution/ quality possible.
  • Tables should be typed and included as part of the manuscript.
  • References to other publications should be written in MARDI style. House-style examples are as follows:
    • For book: Surname, Initials, (year). Title of Book, Publisher, Place of publication.
      • Eg.: Haris, J.E. (1985). A Premier of Modern Factor Analysis, 2nd ed. London: Academic Press.

    • For book chapter: Surname, Initials, (year). Chapter title, Editor’s name, Initials (Ed). Title of Book, Publisher, Place of publisher, pages.

    • For electronic sources: if available online the full URL should be supplied at the end of the reference, as well as a date that the resource was accessed.
